The Mentor Timeline
We will use this site as a hub for all Mentor Materials up until and during Event Day on November 10th. It will be updated as information becomes important but, use the following timeline to see a rough sequence of events for Mentors up until Event Day.
It looks like a lot, don't worry, it is not! The actual things you have to do is fill out 2 30-second forms and attend a mentor training session. Other than that, you are all good!
Week 1️⃣ | 10/14-10/20
Mentor Shift Preference Form Sent Mid Week
A form will be sent out to all Mentors mid week and will be due Sunday @ 11:59.
The form will include:
Partner Confirmation: You will enter your phone number and that will retrieve the partner we have recorded for you (if we have one).
You can change/add your partner for Event Day (or leave it blank) but... you must both write each others names with the correct spelling for the match to work
Additional Experience Confirmation: If you selected you have experience with physical or cognitive disabilities, it will show you.
If you see this info displayed, you could be paired with a student with disabilities depending on the mentee's we have sign up.
Conflicts: If you have an unmovable conflict on November 10th, you can denote it there.
We will work with you to either figure out a solution or a path forward so just let us know what's going on!
Shift Preference: This year, we are introducing Shift Preferences where you can select when you would prefer to start on Event Day.
It is first come first serve so the shifts have limits and will fill up. We cannot guarantee you will have this time slot but we will do our best to make it all work!
Week 2️⃣ | 10/21-10/27
Mentor Training Sign Up Form & Shift Assignments Sent Mid Week!
A form will be sent out to all Mentors mid week and will be due Sunday @ 11:59.
The form will include:
A Sign Up for Mentor Trainings: We are offering 4 mentor training sessions from 10/28-10-29 in the afternoon.
The sessions will be 45 minutes. You will get your mentor t-shirt as well as receive important info for Event Day.

Your Shift Assignment and Finalized Info: We will use the info from the Preference Form and the Mentor Sign Up to confirm all of your info before Event Day!

Week 3️⃣ | 10/28-11/3
Mentor Trainings Will Happen on Monday and Tuesday.
Final information will be provided to Mentors along with specific instructions for Event Day. Mentor fundraising is due on the 27th so, of you haven't fundraised up to this point spend this week focusing on completing your $60 fundraising requirement.
Week 4️⃣ | 11/4-11/10
Get Excited for Event Day Under the Sea!
Event Day is November 10th so this is the final week before Event Day. If you haven't fundraised or missed Mentor Trainings, The Mentor Team will reach out with information on the final steps we can take to get you ready for Event Day. Other than that, just get ready to have fun!
